I often think if the human distate for hair isn't from from some deep seated atavistic revulsion of looking like the apes!





Because most women say Eeeeeewwwwww over really hairy guys!





And depilitating women has gone on since forever, too! Seems like women got rid of their body hair for millenia. eeee gross!!! we all say.

This might be a bit obvious, but, um, we did evolve from apes!! I mean, after all, if evolution didn't exist, what would be the reason for fossils?
Hair is used for insulation. When it's cold, your hairs stand on end, trapping air underneath, and the still air acts as an insulator to keep you warm.
