What is current mens fashion for hair?

I have to admit I am a physicist and know nothing of the beautilogical arts. My hair has grown longer and I am in a dillema, I have no idea whether to cut it or not. Also my facial hair is starting to get alittle out of control. Is it is style to have long unruly hair? I am willing to take any fashion advice at this point.

well here is what i prefer. and might work with you definately shorter hair and i dont like any facial hair.. as for styler maybe short and then a little bit piked up in the front?What is current mens fashion for hair?
i love guys with long [well maintained] hair. as long as you keep washing it and putting it back in a ponytail [not loose, looks girly] then it looks great curly. as for the facial, it really depends on the guy. i think my boyfriend looks great both ways but i don't like the clean shaven look
