I have very thick naturally curly hair I normallyget it clipperd in with a 4 on the top and a 1 on the back and sides and comb the top forward can any one reccomend a good strong hold styling product as i dislike the hardness of gells and most clays and waxes tend to feel heavy dure to my hair being so thick, and if there are any good conditioning treatments for very dry hairWhats a good stylindg product for thick curly mens hair that doesn't feel hard or heavy? also conditioners?
Considering that you don't like gel and wax, sounds like you might like a form of grooming cream. It gives hair some hold but it doesn't get crunchy like gel. It also leaves the hair pliable, so you can still run your fingers through it. Crew makes some great products. You might even want to try the leave in conditioner as a ';grooming cream'; Many of my customers have been happy with the results. It holds like gel but it doesn't get crunchy. Next time you get your haircut, have them thin the top out, if its too thick. That might make styling a little easier.Whats a good stylindg product for thick curly mens hair that doesn't feel hard or heavy? also conditioners?
Spray gels tend to have a more flexible effect as opposed to a rigid effect that bog standard gel has. E.g. Vo5 Freeze Hold Spray Gel
as far as gels or something to hold your hair try a pomeade or pantenes spray that holds but allows flexibility and for a conditioning treatment try hot oil and a shower cap for about 2-5 minutes then wash hair normally.
