What are the different things offered at each...
I know barbers are generally cheaper, and I've been going there all my life... is there anything stylists can offer that barbers dont?
Can I still get my hair razored at the barbers? For mens hair: what is the difference between barber and a stylist?
It depends on what kind of haircut that you want.
Barbers are great for short hair. They are fast, accurate, and relatively cheaper. A bonus is you can get a shave at the same time. A real treat that every man should enjoy. They do not specialize in longer styles, however, or the ';latest' styles. The tools used by barbers are usually electric clippers and scissors.
Stylists train to be able to give you the most flattering cut for the face shape and type of hair. They stay up to date on current styles and new techniques. If you want some hair color or perms, the stylist is the one for the job.For mens hair: what is the difference between barber and a stylist?
The difference between barbers and stylists is: where I'm from Barbers require more hours of school than stylists to receive a license. Their focus is on cutting techniques and typically they do not style the hair after cutting. They specialize in all kinds of cuts...especially razor cuts and line ups, fades, buzz cuts of all kinds and scissors too. Not any more or less talented than stylists. Hope that helps!
barbers don't style hair
if you just want a buzz cut.. go to a barbers
they are faster and cheaper
but if you want a longer cut without clippers
you want a stylist
