How to re-create wet hair styled look for men?

When I come out of the shower, I comb my hair and it looks really good. Sidepart with a nice shape for the main 'wavey' part. But when it gets dry, it just flops.



Would it be too weird to use gel to recreate that look as it will look a bit wet/slimey? Whats another way?

Cheap hair gels work GREAT for that, and the wet look is hard so your hair never messes up. I used to do that look with curls in middle school because my hair stayed the same all day! lolHow to re-create wet hair styled look for men?
normally mousse helps keep it looking wetish...
