Is there such thing as a number/grade 8 for mens hair cuts in the UK?

Usually I have a 6 on top blended to a 4 back and sides, but I want it a little longer this time. Something like a 6 on the back and sides and if it exists an 8 on top. Does such a number exist? Never needed it before!

If not, what would be the recommendation? 6 back and sides then slightly longer on top blended in?Is there such thing as a number/grade 8 for mens hair cuts in the UK?
Yes a grade 8 does exist, however, getting it clippered like that will only mean you will need to get a haircut quicker as it will be longer than what you are used to and start growing in your ears within about 2 weeks. As a stylist myself I would suggest getting a 4 back and sides and ask the stylist to point cut the top. This will remove bulk and add texture, so it wont look so helmet-like. And blend in the sides.

Use a little bit of wax to define it.

Put a little bit of wax (dax wax blue or fudge hair varnish are good) on the palms of ur hands and rub themtogetherr, then rub this over ur hair, a bit like u were drying it with a towel, minus the towel.

Hope this helps xxIs there such thing as a number/grade 8 for mens hair cuts in the UK?
I think a number 8 will be too long. you might want to try something shorter.
